While the rest of the world is sitting by the fire, drinking hot chocolate, and watching snow fall outside their windows, the residents of Miami are left wishing for a cold front that can last more than three days. While it may not be time to bring out the winter coats or practicing snow angels, it is time to snuggle up to watch some classic Christmas movies.
Christmas with the Kranks
Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis star in the family comedy, Christmas With the Kranks. As the holidays approach, they decide to skip all of the hallmark aspects of Christmas: the tree, the lights, the Frosty on the roof, and their famous Christmas Eve party. But, when their daughter surprises them by coming home early for Christmas, the Kranks rush to prepare the party of their lives while realizing that Christmas isn’t meant to be skipped.
How The Grinch Stole Christmas
Dr. Seuss’s How The Grinch Stole Christmas is a must-watch every year. It tells the story of the mean Mr. Grinch (Jim Carrey) who tries to stop Christmas from being celebrated Whoville. He steals the presents and decorations of every resident of Whoville until Cindy Lou Who (Taylor Momsen) makes him realize that Christmas means more than just gifts and toys; Christmas will come no matter what… or no matter who.
The Santa Clause
The Santa Clause follows the story of how Scott Calvin (Tim Allen) becomes Santa Claus. On the night before Christmas, Scott Calvin startled someone on his roof, causing him to fall and disappear into the snow, leaving a big red suit for Scott to wear. Once Scott puts the suit on and is transported to the North Pole, he must learn how to deal with the double-life and the true spirit of Christmas.
A Christmas Story
9-year-old Ralphie only wants one thing for Christmas — an official Red Ryder BB gun– but all the adults in his life respond, “you’ll shoot your eye out.” Things aren’t looking up for Ralphie when even Santa seems reluctant to give him what he’s asked for, but maybe a Christmas miracle is in store for him after all.
A Christmas Carol
Ebenezer Scrooge is a mean, miserable, old man with no Christmas spirit whatsoever. On Christmas Eve, he is visited by three ghosts: the ghost of the past, present, and the future. Scrooge realizes he needs to change his ways before it is too late.

Home Alone 2: Lost in New York
A year has passed since he was left home alone. This year, Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) and his family have planned a trip to Miami, Florida for Christmas, but, of course, Kevin accidentally gets on the wrong airplane and ends up in New York City, and who would’ve guessed that Harry and Marv are in New York City too.
Buddy the Elf (Will Ferrell) was raised by elves in the North Pole, but he is very much human. When Buddy finds out he is human, he sets out on a journey–through the seven levels of the Candy Cane forest, through the sea of swirly twirly gum drops, and through the Lincoln Tunnel–to find his birth father in New York City.

Dennis Mitchell (Maxwell Perry Cotton), a little troublemaker, deals with bullies, but still wants to give his neighbor, Mr. Wilson (Robert Wagner), some Christmas spirit. Somehow Mr. Wilson manages to take away Dennis’ spirit.
Santa and his four-legged pal, Paws, travel the world distributing presents to all the kids. Santa is suddenly hit with amnesia and doesn’t remember anything. Accompanied by a few friends, Paws needs to find a way to save Christmas.
Tia Mowry stars in the Christmas musical, The Mistle-Tones. Holly has dreamt of joining the signing group her mother was once a part of, but when they reject her she forms her own group and challenges them to a competition on Christmas Eve.
12 Dates of Christmas
The story follows Kate (Amy Smart) going on a blind date, ending terribly. She repeats the day over and over again until she fixes her wrongdoing. She realizes what truly matters during Christmas.
Sloane (Christina Milian), a publicist, is taken on a trip to check out her ex-boyfriends and everything she did wrong in her relationships. Her client that recently passed away, Caitlin (Ashley Benson), helps Sloane find her true love in time for Christmas celebration.
It’s a Wonderful Life
George Bailey’s life is not going as planned and is contemplating suicide. Until an angel named Clarence is sent from above to show him what life in Bedford Falls would be like if he had never been born. Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet star in the romantic/comedy, The Holiday. The two women, who have never met each other, are having guy troubles, which leads them to swap places. They swap their lives and end up falling in love in the other’s home country.
Bruce Willis stars in the famous action film, Die Hard. Watch and see how a man tries to save his wife after several people were taken hostage during Christmas.
It might not be time for the winter coats in Miami, but it is most definitely a brilliant time to cuddle up and watch a good Christmas movie with some cold cocoa and popcorn.
